Description This exquisite Hano Mana Flat Kachina is very often a favorite first or second gift to children. She appears in the Bean Dance on Third Mesa and in the Water Serpent Ceremony on First Mesa. She is wrapped in a traditional maiden shawl and has a gorgeous feather in front and on top of her head. Long hair accents the turquoise face. She is 18″ tall and 3 1/2″ wide. Award winning artist Earl Dino Patterson Jr., also known as Sunaweuma, hails from the Hopi and Navajo tribes of Hotevilla (Third Mesa) on the Hopi reservation in northeastern Arizona, belonging to the Roadrunner and Greasewood clans. This exquisite Kachina, meticulously carved from Hopi cottonwood root, is signed by Earl Dino Patterson (Sunaweuma).
