Description The unique structure of this wood is sometimes called “wood roses” and are the result of a parasitic mistletoe plant that grows on trees in Bali, commonly the chinaberry tree. This piece features a mushroom-like growth at one end that is created by imbedding itself into the bark of a Chinaberry tree and gets its nourishment from the tree’s sap. There is a very detailed lizard carved by hand on top of the long piece of wood, which has been done with some considerable skill. The whole piece is 11″ long and 5″ wide.
